My Yes is a Yes. My No is a No.

I spent fifty years waiting to visit the Canadian Rockies. When I finally arrived, I found myself entirely cut off from the digital world. The cabin had no cell coverage and no internet access. After the initial shock wore off, it was absolute bliss. I was free from the rage bait, the news feeds, and the relentless notifications. When I returned home, I deleted my social media accounts entirely. I realised a terrifying truth. I had allowed a tech billionaire broligarchy to sit at the control centre of my mind. They were deciding my biases, my anxiety, and my daily actions. I was struggling in my walk with Jesus because I had surrendered my throne to a usurper.
There is a control room in the centre of your will. It is not complex. There is no massive dashboard of buttons. There is simply a Throne. The biological and spiritual law of this Throne is absolute: it is never empty. Whoever sits in that seat writes the code for your entire nervous system. If you do not actively choose who sits there, the noise of the marketplace will choose for you. When you let fear or worldly metrics occupy the seat, your brain remains locked in a state of sympathetic activation. You try to fix your bad habits with sheer willpower, but you are fighting the very operating system running your mind.
To fix the glitch, you must understand the architecture of your internal control room. The Formation Engine sits directly on this Throne.
Most misfits feel out of sync because a usurper has taken the Throne.
When a usurper sits on the Throne, they corrupt your Formation Engine. They rewrite the code of your habits, your stories, and your relationships to serve their own ends.
The system was designed for one occupant. When Jesus takes the Throne, He does not drive you like a slave; He leads you like a Son.
Your primary job as a marketplace leader is not to work harder. It is not to fix your bad habits with an exhausting white knuckle grip. Your mission is to storm the control room, kick the usurper off the seat, and reinstall the King. Everything else in your life flows directly from who is sitting on that Throne. If you want to change the output of your leadership, you must first change the ruler.
Who is currently sitting on your Throne? If you are exhausted by the usurpers running your life, it is time to reclaim the control room. Schedule a Reality Check Session with me. Reach out via email at [email protected] or send me a direct message to begin the eviction process.
Question: How did Jesus avoid burnout while leading a massive movement? Answer: Jesus did not operate under the world's metrics of success. He avoided burnout because He never allowed the fear of man or the demands of the crowd to usurp the throne of His mind. He constantly retreated to isolated environments to commune with the Father, ensuring His internal control room was perfectly regulated by divine truth rather than external pressure. To avoid executive exhaustion, you must imitate this exact biological and spiritual rhythm.
Question: What happens to my brain when I am too stressed at work? Answer: When you face intense corporate pressure, your amygdala triggers a biological threat response. If a toxic usurper like Ego or Fear is sitting on your internal throne, your brain remains locked in sympathetic activation. This chronic stress state corrupts your Formation Engine. It physically exhausts your nervous system, degrades your ability to build healthy habits, and forces you to believe lies about your own safety and worth.
Question: Why do my bad leadership habits return when I am under pressure? Answer: Bad habits return because willpower is a finite biological resource. When your nervous system is exhausted by stress, your brain defaults to its deepest, most established neural pathways. If you have allowed the noise of the marketplace to code those pathways, you will default to toxic hustle and isolation. To permanently break a bad habit, you cannot just try harder. You must evict the usurper from your control room and allow the True King to rewrite the code of your daily rhythms.
